The Leon Baker Story

LBj B

Welcome to Leon Baker Jewellers History, where our story is as timeless as the jewellery we craft. Since 1886, we’ve upheld a proud legacy of excellence in jewellery craftsmanship, spanning generations in Western Australia. Dive into our history and discover the journey of our family Legacy of Leon Baker: Jewellery Excellence.

Our story begins with Douglas Harry Baker, who laid the foundation of our family’s passion for jewellery in 1886. From the humble beginnings of D.H. Baker Watchmaker, Jewellery, and Engraver at 11 Back Of The Inns Norwich1

This tradition persevered through the generations, as Douglas Hubert Baker, under his father’s tutelage, cultivated his expertise, preserving our legacy.

David Leon Baker, the torchbearer of our family’s legacy, embarked on his journey, traversing the vast landscapes of Australia. Across the length and breadth of Western Australia, David’s passion for jewellery shone bright, culminating in establishing multiple stores throughout Country WA and managing to continue the Leon Baker Jewellers history.

The children of David Leon Baker grew up in and around the jewellery stores and learned from a young age the elegance of diamonds and the importance of customer relations.

In 2007, David Leon Baker passed the torch to his daughter Elise and her husband Shain Forth2. Consequently, this ensured that the legacy of Leon Baker Jewellers continued to thrive under family stewardship. Shain and Elise Forth focused their decades of business experience into expanding the business both in scope and reach.

Through the early 2010s Shain and Elise built upon David’s legacy. Expanding the Geraldton based business into two showrooms across the city and expanding their services across the coast of Western Australia. Continuing the focus of custom designed jewellery and watch repairs the clientele grew to include people from all over Australia.
